Guys... I'm signed up for 6 classes next semester, 3 for the Human Development and Family Studies major and 3 for the Anthropology minor. Yeah. That's what I'm at right now. Still unsure of what I'm going to do with my life!

ANTH 1020 - Human Origins: Evolution and Diversity, TH 10:45-12:05, 3 credits
ANTH 1030 - World Prehistory: An Introduction, MWF 9:40-10:30, 3 credits

FCS 3210 - Statistics in Family and Consumer Studies, MW 11:50-1:45, 4 credits
Stats might be a bit much. If I drop anything once semester starts, that'll be the one to go.

eh
I'm sick of blogging.
I'm sick of Salt Lake.
I'm sick of packing away all of my clothes except the outfits I'm going to wear for the next 11 days.
so I'm not packing anymore.
But I have successfully cleaned out all of my drawers and my side of the closet. Now all that's left is the bra lamp, everything in and on my desk, and a bunch of other stuff. I honestly don't know if all of my stuff, Rose, and I can fit in my car next Saturday..
Um, so what I have done since my last post?
Corinne's sister Abby came up for the weekend. We went to the Grand Kerfuffle on Friday. It was kind of dumb because we missed Chiddy Bang and then Mike Posner only felt like playing slow, boring songs on the piano. Oh and Stu and I called things off again so I was mad/sad about that too.
So then on Saturday, we traveled down to South Jordan to the Sri Ganesha Hindu Temple. It felt kind of like we were intruding on the temple though. We were the only people in there besides some priests. So we were walking around the statues of different deities, trying to whisper as quietly as possible, but I failed at being quiet because one of the priests came up and started talking to us. It was a really good talk. He explained that Hindus believe in only one God and that they worship that one God through all of the different deities. No matter who they're praying to - Krishna, Ganesh, Shiva, etc. - the prayers are going to go to God. The priest explained it in the way that you don't talk to your cell phone, you talk through your cell phone to another person. It's the same way. The Hindu people don't worship the statues of Ganesh, they worship through Ganesh to God.
Shiva surrounded by two Ganesh statues
Ganesh; the priest offered us the three apples on the right after talking to us.
Later that night I hung out with a bunch of people from Best Buy. It was fun, different from the hang-outs I'm used to here at the dorms. On Sunday, Paul and I went to the library to study.. I think he worked on his math project while I finished up the current season of Parks and Recreation on Hulu. I honestly don't remember what else I did on Sunday. I may have watched Ratatouille..
Yesterday, Amanda and I shared a presentation on Jacques Prévert in French. Today I aced an exam over Islam. Tomorrow I will hopefully ace the final we have in mythology.
Ummmm, yeah.

les docteurs sait mieux
Last week in French we read part of a play called Le Malade imaginaire. It's about a man who goes to a doctor and insists he's sick in multiple places and the doctor tells him its his lungs bothering him after every statement. Today we had to create a dialogue between doctors and a patient. I played a crocodile. I definitely stole the show. Our teacher thought my lines were hilarious.
NATALIE: Je suis triste. I am sad.
AMANDA: On sait de comment tu dois avoir. We know what you must have.
KATIE: Il est urgent que tu achetes un crocodile. It is urgent that you buy a crocodile.
SAM: Achetez-moi! Buy me!
NATALIE: Mais j'ai un portefeuille mal... But I have a poor wallet...
YOUNG: Mais il est utile que tu donnes les pomme de terres et beaucoup du vin à ton crocodile. But it is useful to give potatoes and a lot of wine to your crocodile.
SAM: Donnez-moi des aliment! Feed me!
NATALIE: Mais je n'aime pas des pomme de terres... But I don't like potatoes...
AMANDA: Il vaudrait mieux que t'aimes ton crocodile. It would be best for you to love your crocodile.
SAM: Aimez-moi! Love me!
NATALIE: Mais j'ai un cœur brisé. But I have a broken heart.
KATIE: Il ne faut pas que tu manges ton crocodile. You should not eat your crocodile.
SAM: Ne mangez-moi pas! Don't eat me!
NATALIE: Mais j'ai très faim... But I am very hungry...
YOUNG: Il est important que tu joues aux cartes avec ton crocodile. It's important to play cards with your crocodile.
SAM: Jouez avec moi! Play with me!
NATALIE: Mais je n'ai pas des cartes... But I don't have cards...
AMANDA: On est les docteurs! We are doctors!
KATIE: On sait mieux! We know best!
penis cake, yummmm!
We decided to take Trax down to Chili's for dinner on Saturday.. bad idea. We arrived at the stadium at the same time as 30 ambulances and police cars were pulling up. Apparently some frat guy was standing too close to the edge of the platform and fell underneath the train. You can click here to read an article about it. In the video one of the captions is "STUDENT HIT MY TRAIN." I thought it was funny. The typo, not what happened. Buuut yeah, it was an awkward situation. We were on the same side of Trax as the frat and their dates (it was their formal) and this one girl was soooo hysterical. She kept screaming, "OH MY FUCKING GODDDDDD!" and crying and making a ruckus. I did not approve. Showing emotions in public is for children.
Corinne and I went for a hike today after we woke up. As we were walking somewhere above Sunnyside Ave., we stumbled upon the This Is The Place Heritage Park. There's a little village set up that's supposed to be just like the one the first Mormon pioneers created when they moved to Utah. It's pretty cute but was totally empty since its Sunday and Mormons aren't allowed to leave their homes or something to that effect. (I'm just kidding, Corinne, I love you). Anyway, there was a lady putting warm milk in old fashioned Coke bottles to feed to the baby sheep and she let me and Corinne help her feed them. Then she told us we could pick up the baby pigs if we could catch them. I totally caught both of them. I'm such a beast. They squealed bloody murder though so we didn't hold them for very long.
Paul and I made dinner again tonight. I fixed fettuccine alfredo and he made shake-n-baked chicken and french fries.
Then I made a cake. All by myself because everyone else was too busy playing their dumb Monopoly game to help me.
Doesn't it look delicious? That's because it was. Mmmmm. I guess I can give some credit to Paul and Scott, who drew the penis. But don't believe Paul's lies when he claims he baked the cake. That was all me. I only let him draw a penis on the cake because my penis came out really squiggly and deformed..
Isn't she cute?
Soooo yeah, that was the rest of my weekend. I guess I also signed up for classes for next semester.

crimson nights
So on Thursday, Corinne and I were driving to the gas station to get drinks when my car hit 123456 miles!
But I took the picture right as it changed to 123457.
Later that night Paul Kim made me dinner again...
Made me drive him to sushi again...
Then made brownies in my kitchen until 2 am again...
Yesterday at work we did a bunch of Easter-related activities. We set up three stations outside for the kids to go to. Mine had sack races and three-legged races; Majik had a tug-o-war rope set up; and Beckie and Laura did a race where the kids had to carry a spoon in their mouths and balance an egg. Then we had an egg hunt around the school. It was really cute and fun. I got a sunburn from the two hours we spent in the sun.
Three-legged race: Mirian and Kristy take the lead as Juan and Eli struggle to get back up.
After work, Corinne and I met up at the Gateway to find me an outfit for Crimson Nights. If you're not familiar with Crimson Nights, it's this huge party ASUU throws in the Union every couple of months to bring the students together. There are carnival rides, henna tattooing, free food, and a dance in the ballroom that's basically just a big drunk orgy.
This guy was running around the Gateway showing off his nice booty.
This was the shirt I bought at F21 to wear to Crimson Nights.
I wore it over the first black dress shown in this post along with some leggings and black vans.
Now Stuart, Paul, Ryan and I are sitting in the library studying.. kind of. I've been blogging for the last hour, Paul's been reading every newspaper he can find, and Stuart is.. I'm not sure what's he doing. Mostly he's been staring at me. Ryan's the only one doing any actually work. I'm trying to convince Corinne to come down to the library and study Islam with me but she keeps rejecting me. Story of my life.

birthday weekend
Friday started off like any other Friday. I skipped all of my classes, had Noodles for lunch and then went swimming at work. When I got home, Corinne went to Werner's birthday dinner (I wasn't invited), so I started watching the first season of Glee on Netflix. Paul Kim said he would invite me to his birthday dinner but forgot about me so I made spaghetti for myself. So to sum up the majority of my Friday night, I had dinner alone, watched Glee alone, and got schwasty alone.
This is my spaghetti in the making. It was delicious.
Then I was finally invited to Stu and Paul's birthday party. I guess I had a good time. We watched Family Guy, listened to classic Disney soundtracks on youtube, and then went to bed... That sounds really lame, but I promise it was fun.
Stuart being attacked by Paul and Sean
Paul refusing to have his picture taken.
Paul's crotch and my vampire legs.
Tired birthday boy!
So on Saturday, Corinne and I went to the Village Inn. I basically ate $30 worth of food on my own... What can I say, I'm a sucker for omelettes, bacon and pie when I don't have to make them.
Corinne posing with our Fresh Strawberry pie.
Then we went to Sugarhouse to visit DI. We ended up shopping at Michael's, Nordstrom Rack, and Toys"R"Us before we made it down to the DI. Corinne bought a bunch of card making supplies at Michael's for Scott's birthday and I bought plaster cat magnets and a cat bobblehead that I'm in the process of painting as a belated birthday gift for Paul Kim. At Nordstrom, I bought a new pair of Vans and a ring and Corinne got some cute black flats. She bought yet another Nerf gun at Toys"R"Us and tried to make me buy six more for her.. If only I wasn't dirt poor. Then she got some oversized sweaters from the DI to wear with leggings.
Then I did 8 loads of laundry. This was the end result:
Ridiculous.
I hadn't done laundry since.. before Spring Break.. so probably around the beginning of March. That means that the clothes I wore to the Festival of Colors still hadn't been washed. There was cornstarch all over my dirty laundry. I tried to beat the color out of my clothes before washing them...
The wall opposite looked the same way, as did the ceiling.
I also cleaned up and organized my side of the room. Finally.
For dinner, Corinne and I joined Sean, Stu, Paul and Zack at the Pie. Coco and I ordered a pizza pull-a-part and a 12-inch pizza. We had to leave early so Corinne could go watch Your Highness with Scott.. so once again I left alone in our room on a weekend night.
Corinne and our pizza.
So I Skyped and drank with Christian and Scott for multiple hours! We had competition to see who could draw the best cat, Christian kept drawing on his free Starbucks "mugs," and we had a group video chat with their Korean friend Harris who was impressed with my collection of Korean food! I kept trying to take screenshots of our conversation but Christian would never hold still long enough for me to remember which keys to press.
That's all I have. Christian was trying to show me how he wrote "BLOW ME" on the bottom of his cup.
Ummm, what did I do next? Oh yeah. I went over to Stuart's to drink more and play one game of Monopoly that lasted for three hours. Holy. Crap. It was so boring. I had more money than anyone else, but I also only owned three properties.
See.
My spots were landed on a lot, but they only gave me $100 each time. Lame. Stuart ended up winning. Also lame. Sean was a crack up throughout the game though. Proof:
Out of nowhere he started singing..
Then he played "Nail" with Paul. I always love seeing Paul in pain.
Overall, its been a pretty good weekend.

bazaaring
Dictionary.com defines bazaar as
- a marketplace or shopping quarter, especially one in the Middle East
- a sale of miscellaneous contributed articles to benefit some charity, cause, organization, etc.
- a store in which many kinds of goods are offered for sale; department store
If a bazaar is a shop, wouldn't adding an -ing onto the end make it shopping? Aha, it would! So, if we had to define bazaaring, we could probably say
- the act of shopping
Awesome. This is great. We can finally define my url.
Bazaaring actually originated when I signed up for dailybooth with the name Bazaar. I wanted to use that on other websites but of course it had already been taken.. hence the randomly added on ending. I'm not about using numbers in my usernames like some people (coughcoughcorinnecough)...
Anyway.
I'm sitting in the library. Alone. Because Corinne won't skip class to join me. I should be studying for the Christianity exam we have tomorrow... Instead, I'm browsing Facebook and staring at every single person that walks in to the library. Do I feel like a creep? Of course I do, that feeling never leaves me.
Yesterday I took my oral exam in French.. totally aced it. That's 2/2 exams I've kicked ass at in French this week. I also got my composition from a few weeks ago back and got an A on that too! Why am I so aweeesommeee! All of the studying I've been putting in this week is starting to get to me though. Last night as I was studying for the History midterm I had this morning, I fell asleep while reading. So when I woke up at 7 this morning, I was freaking out that I wouldn't have enough time to learn everything the exam was over. Because before last night, I hadn't studied at all for the midterm. Yay procrastination! But when I got to class the test question was over the one I had studied this morning, so I lucked out. Now I just need to start learning about Christianity so I don't fail tomorrow's test...
I'll do it later.
Man, I love sitting in the library. Its so quiet (unlike our room), it smells nice (unlike our room), and there are so many cute boys here (unlike our room). On Fridays I have history from 8:35-9:25 and then an hour break before mythology at 10:45, so I could come in here for that time. It's too bad I haven't been to a single history class this semester. Maybe this Friday...

so much to do
Click on this screenshot of iCal to see just how ridiculously stressed I'm going to be this week.
Tomorrow I have an exam in French over a chapter that we went over in four days, along with a five page paper for mythology that I have yet to start. Tuesday after French I'm taking my oral exam that I'll probably fail, and then handing in a response essay about Christianity (that I should probably start, also...). I haven't been to my history class in months so I'll probably have my ass handed to me in there on Wednesday and then again on Thursday when I take an exam over Christianity, because Dr. Crowe's tests are impossible to pass.
EDIT: I finished that bastard mythology paper by 6 so I could shower and eat before the French study sesh at 7. I wrote about The Princess and the Frog and I think it's pretty good for being hammered out in only a few hours the night before its due. Now I'm going to work on getting most of my homework on MyFrenchLab done because half of it is due at midnight and I totally spaced about it.
Also, you've probably noticed an ad at the top of my blog about dinner and farts.. hahaha. I decided to let Google put ads on my blog and they pull words from my posts and turn them into links.. so since recently I've talked a lot about eating and how often I fart, that's what Google chose to advertise about.
And if you're reeeally observant, you may have noticed a change in my url. It is now... *drumroll* ...
www.bazaaring.net!
legit!

almost 2000 viewers!?
Saturday was the first day of Spring Break. Paul and I are basically the only people still at the dorms and its so boring. First we had lunch at Sizzler; it was a first for both of us. Next we hit up multiple Asian supermarkets in search of mochi and ramen. Then Paul went to practice and I laid in bed for four hours watching LOST. For dinner we had a full-on Korean meal: ramen, rice and seaweed, and lots of Korean cracker-type foods. Click here to see my side of the table.
I spent the majority of Sunday watching LOST. Paul and I had dinner at Café Rio in Park City because we missed Stuart. We also watched Battle: Los Angeles. Ummm, I really can't remember what we did on Monday.. Paul and I watched Due Date, which wasn't as good as expected. I also made Paul rent Ratatouille. We're going to watch it tomorrow night while we celebrate Wasted Wednesday with Mitch. Ha. Paul and I had dinner tonight at Stuart's house. It was my first time meeting his parents. They're so cute. Stuart also has two super cute cats - one is fluffy and beautiful, the other is fat and loved me more than Paul - and all I wanted to do when they were near me was lay on them and cuddle them to death. I want a cat more than anything. Only 45 more days until I'm back in Missouri with all of my kitties. ^_^
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I'm getting close to 2,000 viewers. Sweet!

WELCOME TO MY BLOG.
THIS IS HOW EXCITED YOU SHOULD BE:
Or maybe more excited. I just look like I'm grinning unbearably.
Anyway, hi.
I'm kind of suffering from a caffeine high, which has resulted in me taking many pictures of myself, FaceTime-ing multiple people, Skyping multiple people, and blowing up everyones' news feeds on Facebook. (bwahahaha) This is my new Facebook profile picture:
I'm kind of scary, it's okay you can agree.
I'm in a much better mood than I was in my last post. I've realized that I need to stop being such a troll and be lucky that I get to go home and see my family because the chances of them being able to come here during the summer was very slim thanks to that asshole Aaron (my youngest brother's dad) who has legal control over whether my brother can leave the state or not. Fathers suck. I sure am glad I never had to deal with custody agreements like Nick is being forced into. Anyway, I'm going to suck it up, hang out with whoever I can, and hopefully rake in some dough so I can come back to Salt Lake and blow it all on things Trenton does not have (Forever 21, Urban, SUSHI, etc). Oh and go to Warped Tour like every summer. It's just as much of a shitfest this year as it has been for the last 3-4 years, but I can never pass up a good time like that. I just love gettin' me some skin cancer. Examples: (Click to make bigger and see the full effect of the sun on my deathly white skin).
Not even halfway through Warped 2010.
Only a few hours into Warped 2010.
A few hours into Warped 2009.
Super crispy.
On a note completely unrelated to Missouri, I have two exams on Thursday. One is over Judaism - I also have a response essay on that ess due tomorrow that I have yet to start (it's only 7, I have time) - and the other is in French. I just got my ass kicked by three French exams (chapter 7, oral and composition) and now I have to experience that ass-kicking again. Then we have ANOTHER composition on Monday. I think my French teacher hates my class. He is dishing tests like the world is about to end. I do not appreciate.

I have rediscovered my love for Adele.
I haven't had a legit blog post in almost a month. Remember the old days when I used to post every day about how ridiculously exciting my life was? Let's see if I can still do that.
February 13th
Corinne and I went grocery shopping at Smith's. She got a drink from Starbucks, lots of apples and diet mountain dew and a bunch of other food. Whilst shopping, I told Stuart I didn't think things were going to last through the next week. Cue freakout on his part. Later, Paul asked Corinne and I to come to dinner at Chili's with him and Stuart, who surprised me with a huge vase of white lilies. They're still chilling in my room but all but 4 have died because Stu didn't give me the freshening stuff for them. They still smell nice though so it's okay. After dinner, Rose and I had an hour long conversation about what I should do about Stu, then Stu and I had an hour long conversation about what I should do about Stu. Haha. Things were fixed. Corinne and I also had this great conversation:
February 18th
Mitch (Stuart's best friend/gay lover from the Drumline) threw a party at his sister's house for the Drumline. Paul, Stu and I went with this kid Bryan who studies religion. ha. It was surprisingly a lot of fun. Corinne and I thought it would be no fun, as everyone would probably be obnoxious like Paul Kim. We expected lots of "tip," "ti-op," "dis niggggaaa," and dickflops. Turns out, the drumline has some pretty cool kids on it so I had fun. Paul Kim almost died from the 20+ shots he had and Mike would have died if he wouldn't have gone to the hospital. So.. it was fun but everyone had way too much to drink.
February 19th
Stu, Paul and I went to the Olive Garden for dinner. We didn't make reservations (my fault) so we had a 20 minute wait, in which Paul and I wandered around the block and listened to a man play the bagpipes. It was fun. I had the garlic-herb chicken con broccoli (as always), Stuart got some kind of girly pink drink and Paul devoured a fettuccine alfredo. Then it was snowing and we almost died on the ice at a couple of intersections. We watched Splice, then I fell asleep and the boys watched youtube videos on my computer and Stuart spit a fruit snack on my keyboard and didn't clean it up.
February 20th
Stuart and I went on our first legit date at The Melting Pot. It was my first time having fondue and I looooved it. It's ridiculously expensive but really tasty. Then we discovered that Trax wasn't running anymore and we had to bum a ride off of Dan. I locked my phone in Dan's car. Stu came over and watched Clash of the Titans while I slept. So romantic, haha.
February 24th
Mitch came to Salt Lake to have Shogun Sushi with Paul, Stu and I. It was our first time going to Shogun in a few weeks. We had gotten into the habit of going every Thursday at 10:30. But then our groups starting getting too big to contain at one table and people started complaining about money so we stopped going. I had a Harajuku roll. yum.
February 25th
Crimson Nights! Our trio plus Max and Zack went to the Union for Crimson Nights. I didn't have much fun, haha. I think its impossible to have a good time at Crimson Nights unless you're completely schwasted. Otherwise its just boring. There was a button making station, cotton candy and pizza, magic tricks by our very own David DeCarolis who keeps deleting me from Facebook, an oxygen bar, a photobooth, and a giant orgy on the dance floor. Hell yeeeuh.
Also, Stuart totally spit his drink all over the table at dinner. It was pretty embarrassing. ;)
Also, Stuart totally spit his drink all over the table at dinner. It was pretty embarrassing. ;)
February 26th
I took an hour long shower in which I tried to stretch my right ear up to the same size as my left ear.. Didn't go so well. I could only get it about halfway through so its chilling at that size for now. It looks kind of stupid but I don't want to damage my hole. It already looks like shit because I stretched too fast the time before. Corinne is skiing with Bottom Joe, Paul and Stu are playing video games instead of getting haircuts, and I'm sitting in my room listening to Adele and blogging. Such an exciting day. My boss wants me to go with her on a huge group day at 7 tonight but Stu doesn't really want to go.. so I'll probably spend the rest of my Saturday watching Netflix and doing the puzzle of New York City that I finally moved from Stu's room to mine.

hey mac users,
I'm really freakin' sorry if upon opening of my blog you get the spinning rainbow ball of death. I think its all the gifs and pictures doing it, but mostly the gifs. I don't know how to make it not bring about the rainbow death ball, so just try to deal until I get shit figured out. I've found that opening the window and not moving the cursor until everything has loaded seems to make the ball not appear? I dono. I'll keep y'all updated.
Things I don't like:
Things I don't like:
- The fact that "y'all" is spelled that way, not like "ya'll." That's how I've spelled it up until moving to Utah. "Y'all" is just weird.
- When people look through my phone, especially my texts. It's invasive and aggravating. I don't go looking through your personal conversations, so you probably shouldn't be doing the same with mine.
- Supplying the bathroom with tons of toilet paper, when I'm not the only person who uses it. It seems like such a small problem but it makes me so angry. Somehow we go through toilet paper like no one's business and no one seems to want to buy more, so I end up doing it. I'm not buying anymore for the rest of the year, or at least until Emily buys more than I have. We tried making her buy toilet paper last time it was her turn.. She bought a four pack. A fuckin' four pack, while everyone else has bought like 25+ rolls a piece.
- Whining about petty things like the aforementioned. But holy cow, I am so annoyed right now and I want to vent so I can finish this stupid Hinduism paper and go to bed.
- Staying up until midnight so I can be one of the first to apply for housing, only to find out that the application process doesn't start until 9am. Gr.
Things I do like:
White Hinterland - Icarus
Marina and the Diamonds - I Am Not A Robot (Clock Opera Remix)
Kid Theodore - This Scene is a Play
#funfact
This Scene is a Play is my definite favorite song of all time. It's beautiful and listening to it makes me happier than anything else.

memorable moments
Grades don't have to be posted until the 29th.. So far I have an A in French and CR in Cycling, giving me 5 passed credits and a 4.0 GPA. Hopefully the GPA won't drop too much when they get my other classes up.
I made it to Missouri.. Not that I want to be here. So far all I've done is play my ukulele and watch the Office. I think tonight Rose is coming over and tomorrow we're going to Chillicothe for some mini-shopping. And those are the only plans I have so far. What an exciting break.
While I was taking my first bath since the beginning of August, I came up with a list of memorable moments from the last year. It's been an interesting year. ;) (sarcastic wink)
Memorable Moments of 2010
- Losing all of my best friends (Justin, Jennie, Leslie).
- Becoming best friends with Tiffany, then breaking that off.
- Quitting Royal Inn.
- Moving to Utah on my own.
- Realizing a boy didn't want me. At all.
- Realizing I didn't need him to make me happy.
- Meeting/making great new friends (too many to list).
- Eating bagels, black beans, mango, sushi, and other foods for the first time.
- Puking at Kappa Sig.
I couldn't not add the puking one. Seriously going to be a highlight of my life.
I also made a new haiku while I was in the bath last night.. It's dedicated to Corinne, who absolutely loved it. ;) It's pretty golden.
A rain droplet fell;
Landed on top of my head.
I was in the bath.

finals week
Remember when I used to have nothing better to do than blog on a daily basis? If only we could go back there...
Finals week is kicking my ass. I spent the weekend watching movies and not studying, so my French final was really stressing me out. Stu spent the night Tuesday and I didn't accomplish anything, so I had to write my entire film final Wednesday morning before work. Then today I'm going to work and I realize, "Hey, I have a final in 24 hours that I haven't even considered studying for." So then I get off work, go to JCPenney, eat at the Olive Garden, and come home and watch tutorials on how to do the reject. What is my problem? I'm going to straight-up fail tomorrow! Jenny and I have a study sesh planned for 10:30 at Einstein's but I feel like it's only going to stress me out more rather than make me more confident. Bah.
In 29 hours Corinne and I will be on our way to Denver. Eight hours of pure Corinne-Sam time. It's going to be heaven.
In 102 hours I'll be on a plane flying towards Kansas City... I wish I didn't have to go home for break. I'm seriously so bummed about it. There are only 2-3 people I really want to see when I go home. Well, I want to see more, but the likelihood of that happening (if Thanksgiving Break was anything to go by) is very slim. Plus, what am I going to do? I won't have a car and Trenton just sucks balls. At least here there are places to go, things to see... Ugh! If my parents loved me, they would move closer so I never have to set foot in Missouri again.
It's almost 1:30am and I have to be up in 7 hours. If I lay down now, I'll probably finish playing Mahjong and fall asleep around 2 - 2:15 at the latest. Goodnight, world.

hipstamatic
It feels like it's been forEVER since I last blogged.
Anyway. I discovered this app called 'Hipstamatic' and I really dig it. Actually, that's an understatement. I'm head over heels in love with it. Corinne, Scott and I watched The Bounty Hunter tonight and I barely saw any of it because I was so busy trying to find good combinations of lens/film/flash.
Corinne and Scott.
Christmas décor!
Balter.
I'm going to keep messing with it and see how many sweet ass photos I can produce. Notice the last caption? Balter. I just checked the back of the painting and apparently I'm somewhat retarded, because I've been spelling and pronouncing his name wrong for months. I thought it was Baldar. Ah well!
Corinne and I went to Shogun around 1am for some sober sushi. It was yummy, as always. Hahah, I've completely forgotten how to blog... I can't remember anything I've done lately. Why do I suck so hard!?! Tant pis. Gah.
I have my French final on Tuesday (1-3), a film project due Wednesday, and my math final on Friday (3:30-5:30). I was studying la vocabulaire chapitre préliminaire last night and I started getting so worried cause I could not remember anything. I'll probably spend all of Saturday and Sunday mainly studying for French. That leaves almost no time for me to go to the theatre and see 5 non-mainstream films that I can journal about for my film project. Gah. I hate finals.
It's nearly 3am. I'm going to bed.

stats?
I found out that I can check my blog's stats out and see how many views I've had. Check this shit out:
Things that happened this weekend:
- I enabled comments for everyone, not only for people with a Google account. So comment away.
- Corinne and I went to the outlets in Park City and shopped up a storm.
This weekend has been so dull. Partied it up on Friday night (bad decision), spent the majority of Saturday waiting around for Corinne to stop skiing, and then spent 12 hours in Zack/Max/Stu/Dan's suite on Sunday doing homework and playing video games. I got all of my French homework done - including that big ass oral presentation I've been flipping shit over for the last couple of weeks - and worked on some math, but didn't even attempt to start studying for the film final I have tomorrow night. I freaking suck.

Oh! N'insultez jamais une femme qui tombe!
I think I've figured out what poem I want to use for my oral presentation in French at the beginning of December. It's by Victor Hugo and is called "Oh! N'insultez jamais une femme qui tombe!" or "Never revile a woman for her fall!"
French version:
Oh!
A toi, riche! a ton or!
English version:
Never revile a woman for her fall!
Who knows what burdens made the poor thing crawl?
Who knows how long her hunger had to fight?
When blasts of hardship shake her sense of right,
Many a girl - haven't you known her? - stands
Firm a long time - holds on with worn-out hands;
As we see on a branch-tip, sparkling bright,
A drop of rain gleaming with heaven's light,
Tossed about with the tree, trembling and hurt,
A pearl before its fall - and after, dirt!
The fault is ours - yours, rich man, with your pay!
And dirt contains pure water to this day.
How can that drop of water leave the slime,
Regain the luster of its former time?
All things can rise back to the light above;
They need only a ray of sun or love!
My family's probably going to get really annoyed with me over Thanksgiving break because I'm going to be reciting this poem, along with Victor Hugo's life story, at every free moment. Our presentations have to be entirely spoken in French and completely memorized. That's a lot of work and effort I'm not normally willing to put into a school project. Bah!

moab!
I don't want to update but Werner won't gtfo my back. I hate you.
Bottom Joe, Coco, Dirty Dan and I on top of a rock.
So Corinne, Dirty, Bottom, Werner and I went to Moab for the weekend to see some of Coco's family. It was preeeeeetty fun. We went on a hike through Arches National Park on Saturday morning, then followed it up with some sand sledding and Subway lunches. We had dinner at a place called Pasta Jay's then saw Megamind for the second time, which I slept through.. (y) We went to church the next morning, then finished our trip by going on an offroading adventure through the mountains in a Hummer.
Dirty, Coco and I under the Surprise Arch.
Scott scored my team a point Friday night! Then Corinne and I decided to overrule Werner and count my two missing points from the Halloween party since his rules weren't made until after I had scored. And because they were made out of jealousy and anger, making them unfair. Just for records' sake, here are the current standings:
First place: Bottom Joe and John (24)
Second place: Sam and Scott (22)
Third place: Dirty Dan and Ryan (17)
Tied for fourth: Corinne and Werner/Chase and Keaton (16)
In other exciting news, the first part of the Deathly Hallows comes out this week. I ordered tickets for the midnight premiere this morning for Corinne, Dirty, Bottom, Ryan and myself. Corinne, Dirty, Zack and I are also going to go to a free showing on Saturday at 7:35pm that's being put on by HRE. I'm pretty pumped for both shows. Even if the movie sucks the first time around, you can't beat free tickets. Plus I'll probably be hellacious amounts of tired Thursday night and won't be as alert for the premiere as I should be, so seeing it on Saturday will make up for whatever I missed.

tuesday funday!
O HOHOHOHOHO
Just wanted to start things off right by showing you my face. ;) Today was a good day. I'm not sick anymore, I didn't fail my written French midterm, and Corinne and I saw Reel Big Fish!
Corinne bought us some crazy expensive tickets to see Reel Big Fish so I couldn't not go! It was just going to be the two of us and her friend Jordan escorting us cause In the Venue is near the ghetto part of town, but we ended up taking quite the party. Dirty, Jobey-Wan Kenobi, White Chase, Corinne and I went in one car and we got Matt and Rosie to come too. Emily and the Keep were there too, but no one likes them so it doesn't matter. Koo Koo Kanga Roo played first and were actually really funny to watch. You can download all of their songs for free on their website. Definitely listen to Cody the Coyote, What's That You Say?, and Rollin' in the Minivan. Hahaha.

Suburban Legends played next. They were good and dancey and started the skank pits. Next up were The Aquabats. They also put on a really good show. I was so happy that they played Pool Party before bouncing. I loved that song back in middle school or so and its still the only song I know by them. But I'll probably be downloading their albums. They just came out with a new EP that has three whole songs on it if anyone is interested. ;) Then came the night's main attraction: Reel Big Fish! They were really brilliant. I only know 3, maybe 4 of their songs, but it was exciting nonetheless. White and Dirty accused me of being a party pooper cause I didn't dance for the majority of the night. I just don't feel comfortable when I dance to songs I don't know. I danced to Pool Party and the RBF songs I know! Jerks. Anyway, it was fun. Third time seeing RBF but definitely topped the other times. Warped shows never compare to actual tour shows.

Corinne's birthday is coming up soon (November 28). So we were talking about it and what I should get her for a present. It got me thinking about what I want to do for my birthday, even though it isn't until the middle of March. We're going to try to get a group of people together to see the Jazz vs. Nuggets game on March 3rd. It would be a total success if we weren't going for the classy $150+ seats in the lower levels. So far Corinne, Bottom Joe, and I are the only ones willing to put down so much money. Oh and Emily Muhoberac, my lovely friend from Branson, said she'd fly out to see the game with us! I'm willing to buy her game ticket if she gets the plane ticket. :) I'm exciiiited! I have to spend the next 5 months learning everything about basketball that I can so that I'm not dropping mega cash for nothing.
Also, note that two teams have increased by one point. Corinne got a point this morning and Keaton apparently got one while we were at the concert. I'm proud. If only Werner and White Chase had game like their teammates.
