festival of colors!

This weekend was my first time going to the Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork. It's this huge Hindu celebration that welcomes springtime where people throw colored corn starch at each other and into the air at specified intervals throughout the day. On Saturday, over 40,000 people went to the festival, where 85,000 bags of colors (priced at $2 per bag) were sold. Sunday didn't have as many people but it was still a blast to experience and join in on. Click on the pictures to make them bigger.

Stuart, Mitch and I inside of the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple before the throwing of colors.

Early throwings; you can tell the time by the whiteness of Zack's shirt.

Zack... This picture is seriously terrifying.

A glance at the Lotus Temple and part of the crowd after the first synchronized throwing.

I'll definitely be going back next year.
